Kristen Ringman is the author of Makara: a novel (Handtype Press, 2012), which has been named a Lambda Literary Award Finalist in Debut Fiction. It has also been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
She’s a deaf writer and sailor currently living in New Hampshire and training her newest Hearing Dog and toddler to play together so that she can work on her current YA science fiction trilogy set in SE Asia.
She used to live aboard a 36′ monohull sailboat and then a 38′ trimaran. She sailed the trimaran from Block Island to Key West.
Now she lives surrounded by woods, but she is always longing for the sea.
